My name is Drew Rushline, and I’m a songwriter and producer from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I’m a sophomore at Elon majoring in Cinema & Television Arts, and minoring in Music Tech. I’ve been releasing music independently for almost four years now, and I would describe my style as alternative soul/pop, with elements of rap. I listen to all kinds of music, but my artistry is most influenced by Billy Joel, Kanye West, Healy, Bon Iver and Talking Heads. Writing music has always been my most important outlet for my thoughts and emotions, and even my more upbeat songs tend to have some of the most personal lyrics. I really want more people to hear what I have to say through my music, and I’m so excited to be a part of Limelight so that I can grow my audience and expand my artistic visions.
